Post-Havasupai

After everyone headed back to Provo. I went over to Jamms... and ate. I like the Pot O' Bread... I think everyone that went to Vegas when I lived in Vegas went to Jamms... Larrie and Irene did... oh both Davids didn't... but Kyle did... I guess not that many people came through Vegas to visit jajaja.

So the Ipod died. I'm not sure when... but for some reason when I'm carrying something. I never ever drop the least expensive thing... juggling a nalgene bottle, cell phone, ipod, keys... what will drop?? Not the bottle or the keys. Thats for sure. at least with a cell phone... you get a new one every two years.

So RIP 4th Generation Ipod.. Dec 2004- June 2008

The 6th generation ipod is... thinner... thats cool. and has a bigger screen... which is important when you're listening to music.... I really don't see how people can watch tv shows on these things... but whatever I'm sure there are people that don't find the need to carry 56 gigs of music on them.

I decided that the San Jose Giants hat had to go. We had lots of memories hat. mail ordered you the 02/03 school year...

There were a lot of outdoorsy activities you protected my head from UV rays...
In like four states for like six years. wow.

Bye bye ipod...bye bye hat. though I probably will let the ipod sit on the shelf for a while...

Havasupai Contines (Still..you know you love it)

Mooney Falls

Yet another rope swing

another rope swing picture

So after three days of playing in water and eating freeze dried foods we called it good. Hiked out at 12:30am.

Well, most of us hiked out. Some were a bit stubborn and decided they needed a nice frozen gatorade...

Last year I ran out with about three miles left to hike. This year I made sure that didn't happen. Not nearly dying of dehydration was nice. A different bodily function reared her ugly head though.

Daybreak was coming. I had something... whether it was a stool or a fart... I knew not... but not wanting to find out fully clothed. I decided to drop shorts under the little cover of darkness that was still available.

I'll let Rebecca tell the story (since this is already on her blog...and I can get away with a copy and paste).
He hikes back down the trail a little ways for some privacy. Then we see some lights coming up the trail. They stop just below Kirk. We wait 10 minutes they start moving again and hike to just above where Collin and I are waiting for Kirk. It is a boyscout troop taking a 10 min break every 30 paces or so. Finally they get out of sight and Kirk does his business. After he gets done...

Collin: "You realize you just went to the bathroom right in the middle of the trail?"
Kirk: "No I didn't."
Me:"Yes, you did."

link

it was near the edge of the trail...geez. walking down I realized Rebecca and Collin were ABOVE me and probably had a bird's eye view. While waiting for those lousy Highland, UT scouts to move their arses... I was looking around... theres not really any bushes to hide my arse from their eye sight. I saw a higher stack of rocks and fearing 1)more people would start coming up/down 2) i'd have a deposit in my shorts soon, I dropped trough right there. maybe the stack of rocks was marking the edge of the trail oh well... whatever, pack mules crap on the thing the whole way up then the whole way down...

being asian does come in handy while camping thats for sure.

Rebecca and I are enjoying the hike up the switchbacks... we have water and its not the middle of the afternoon.

Collin every so often, announces that he has giving up the will to live... Rebecca points out that last year we said the same thing at this or very near to this EXACT location.

We get out... before Greg, Matt and Mary planned on getting up.

So everyone else crashes... I sit there, eat some breakfast... watch the little mormon kids slowly make their way out one by one... I get a LA Times from someone and read THE ENTIRE SPORTS page, then half the entertainment page. Sitting in a parking lot in the middle of no where for five hours is really not very fun.

Finally they get out.

We drive back to Vegas.

The boys go to the Rio and eat at the buffet...
I'm really not a big fan of snow crab.
I probably ate like three pounds of crab/beef/duck/seafood/whatever.

Everyone goes to sleepy bye at South Point.

They all drive back to Provo, I drive back to CA... its just like last year in so many ways.... except it didn't flood... and yeah.

So for some reason... it is IMPOSSIBLE to get 10 people to agree on anything... No wonder our government is screwy... Democracy DOES NOT work...

people flip flopped on what they wanted to do... it was all very FRUSTRATING.

different people may have annoyed different people...

but... apparently Mary's friend HATED us. HATED. Apparently we're crude... oh well... that is true, who didn't know that? I kept everything PG-13... but as some people pointed out... PG-13 may be a bit too much for some people. If you can't handle STD references, dam jokes at a dam and just ridiculously funny stuff or just having a GOOD time... You should probably avoid this group of kiddies.

Rule: Everyone has to stay arm's length away from each other... it prevented "accidental" deaths...

That was the Havasupai trip for 08... It was good to see those kiddies... Its just better now to be 800 miles away from them... J/K.

They may blog about the trip... probably not.

Havasupai Continues

For some reason, I don't sleep the day during travel to Havasupai. I was up for 36 hours... it was awesome. I guess I am just so excited to go that I don't sleep in that extremely boring drive to Havasupai... While everyone else was napping to recover from their nights of only 1-4 hours of sleep. I watched Collin vs. Wild. Collin encounter a spider... it was a big spider... and constructed a shelter of sorts... he even used bark at one point as rope... BARK...

The first final product... version 2.0 added a lot more coverage.

Havasupai...

So obviously no one I know shows up at the time they say... So I wandered.

So the Bellagio looks similar to last year's July display. disappointing.

City Tower is getting HUGE!!!!

HAVASUPAI CAST OF CHARACTERS in order of how long I've known them.
Greg- roommates for a LONG time
Rebecca- Home taught her
Mary- Home taught her
Matt- golfing/hockey buddy
Jake- former roommate/former neighbor
Collin- former neighbors
Jen-former fellow 241st ward member
Jen's boyfriend- Jen's boyfriend
Mary's friend- Mary's friend

Sitting at a gas station preparing to leave.
Mary: Do you have, something pokey in your pocket? Something is poking me...
Me: no mary, I'm just really glad to see you

thus ending all Kaakun/Mary conversations for the trip.

@Hoover dam.
lots of dam jokes... some didn't quite work... mainly Matt's...so Kaakun wins over Rebecca/Matt for dam joke telling.

Good Ole Havasu Falls...

Greg getting in on my jumpin action. Yeah i hit my back on a rock... I hit three rocks on this trip...hmmmm.

I've Decided...

That living at Havasupai would probably be pretty sweet...

didn't have any track of time, people were constantly wondering..."what time is it?" then oh well... I just played all day. ate when I was hungry, slept when I was tired.
I'm sure that I could get by as an Indian. I have black hair and I tan reasonably well...

and no traffic!!!

Matt is more asian than I am
Matt is better than me in the following areas.
Math
playing stringed instruments
ping pong
being shorter
being skinnier
being cheap
drives a more common Japanese car
plays Sudoku like a mad man
eats more ramen
slurps his ramen noodles

The LA Kings are REALLY going to suck this year.

Sure they have a possibly amazing nucleus of players that will rock in five years... but as of right now. I am sure I'll have no problem picking some sweet seats for my six-game pack. because seriously... who would buy season tickets to a crappy team in such a fair-weather fan market like Southern CA?

Happy Birthday Kevin

Whenever it is... sometime between the 20th and the 25th... my guess is the 22nd... so thats why I'm writing this today.

So I don't know the exact day. Hey. I'll admit it. But really... we've never really had much of a conversation... unless you consider laughter and inappropriate jokes a conversation.

Fall 02- So Kevin and I meet at the x96 Big Ass Show. Kevin can not hold his arm up to be security checked.

summer 03 (technically right before school started)- Kevin moves to RG. being almost a full year since I last saw him. I was not sure if it was him when I answered the door (since all white people look alike). Looking down and seeing the bright pinkish Nikes were when I safely assumed this looks like someone John would associate with and I could let him move his stuff in.

next couple days of summer 03. John calls to see if Kevin had moved in. I say he has.
John asks how he's doing. I say I don't know. John asks if I have talked to Kevin yet. I say that I have not. John wonders how two people living in the same apartment for more than one day have not said anything to one another. I point out that Kevin has been watching daytime tv and then read at night.

Fall 03/Winter 03- Hijinks ensue.

Summer 04- Teamed up with Tim and Greg. We go to Kansas City. Tim sleeps on one bed in a crappy Motel 6, while the three of us pile on to the other.

Fall 04- Kevin is replaced with a pet crab, yes, Kevin the Crab. Greg the Goldfish ate both Kevin the Crab I and Kevin the Crab II. Soon Kevin the Crab II was replaced with Kevin the Contraceptive (Which was a Trojan condom sample with pipe cleaner eye brows, legs, and arms and googly eyes hot glued to the condom. With a message bubble of "Don't forget to use protection"

typical female visitor reaction: Oh how cute you guys have art... oh.....

Spring 06- we all go to Kevin's wedding reception. Not knowing what to bring and avoiding the embarrassment of coming with a sixth toaster. We go the easy way out and en route to the reception, pick up a target gift card and the first non-girly wedding card we can find.

Spring 07- I drop by on Kevin and his wife in AZ during my spring training trip.
We get In-N-Out and watch Titanic.

Spring 08- I drop by on Kevin and his wife and offspring in AZ during my spring training trip. Sadly, we did not watch Titanic again. Thus ending the annual Titanic movie marathon.

That picture of Kevin isn't even Kevin. Sad isn't it, known the kid for almost six years and don't have a proper picture of him. It's faux Kevin. I had to create a Kevin for John to spoon when Kevin went home to West Valley. But happy birthday Kevin, when ever it is. He's really the best friend a kid can ask for... without having to actually talk to him.

Jajajaj.. I actually have some pictures of him... and we've talked...sort of... see.

proof.

pretty much all my pictures are of people jumping into water.... yep 244 pictures of the same damn thing over and over.

typical day.

wake up
eat
play in water
eat

Lil Death March.

So for some reason I blackout how bad something was... for example as a 14-year-old or 15-year-old. I hiked Half Dome I am sure it was rough. I seemingly blacked this out. For Example number 2. I left Provo almost 22 months ago... yet I've been back five times since...

Last year we hiked into and out of Havasupai. Greg is worried about it this year. I am just worried about the way out. But figure actually CARRYING water will solved 95% of my problems.

It very well could suck.

I did sprain my ankle in a parking lot without a 20-pound bag on my back earlier this year... hmmm well crap. Maybe Greg is on to something here...

So once again here goes another worthless will and testament that will be null and void upon my return into sin city Saturday.

Larrie... I will let you have the Arrested Development dvds.
nicki... you can have all my unlimited texts and pic and video texts. since i got the stupid plan because of you... of course they will probably stop after the 6th...since I can't pay the bill on that.
Reagan... you can claim those four Oakland A's world championship trophies as part of your own.... and i give you permission to print out our awesome facebook conversation and selling it as my memoirs. of course 20% has to go towards the upkeep of the grounds around my awesome mausoleum.
LeeElle... you can have good ole trusty black 40... though she might not stay in tune for much longer...shotglass collection of assorted picks and monopoly board game.
Kevin... you can have all my other dvds... since our collections are so similar... and because Loa, Utah can be really boring I am sure.
JAHO... you can have your friend back... I was just going to borrow her attention for a weekend... couple weeks? couple months? couple years? who knows.
SAPY... you can have my awesome blog content. i am sure it will rock the kabosh in syndication.
my sister can have everything else... because... i'm sure there is some awesome stuff somewhere.

If your name isn't on here... then you apparently haven't blog commented recent enough.

sad only like seven people read this blog after all these years.

Havasupai...2.0

So 11 months ago. I learned one important lesson. Water is your ally when you're hiking up switchbacks at 2 in the afternoon in the desert.

Apparently we tried to eliminate the Supai goers that were in the other car apparently...at least on the left-side of the picture.

and we replaced them with Collin, Jake, Mary's friend and Jen's boyfriend...

hmmmmmmm....

We eliminated the one person that would pony up the cash for a pack mule...

epic failure.
I got stuck with photo duties this year again (racist @#$@%^#s).
They're trying to live this whole law of concentration bs to cut down on weight.
I'm pretty sure friendships will be severed this week.

At least I can look forward to Vegas... Vegas never lets me down...

the 10-day forecast says 102 as a high and 59 as a low across the board. and 0-10% chance of rain.

I Can Watch Golf on TV!!!

I can watch golf on tv the whole open, one day, the last hour.
Tiger against two unknowns battling it out to the end... it was nail-biting...
way better than crappy basketball.

Who would have thunk... watching the #157 ranked golfer inch ahead of the #1 golfer then have to watch him barely sink a putt to tie it up.. even if you get blown out tomorrow, Good Job Rocco Mediate. You made golf watchable for me.

Ubuntu Weekend

So a co-worker was like fix this laptop.
I was like ok.
Looked at it and figured all it needed was for the hd to be formatted and put the O/S back on.

So I brought it home... and threw Ubuntu on it for the weekend. I played it with. Its a nifty little O/S.

I ran into some hardware issues... but when I put XP back on it... I ran into the same hardware issues.

Ubuntu FTW.

Change

I keep thinking it is a day that it is not.

Luckily now that Larrie has some regularly scheduled programming on her blog... this news of oh this is a Thursday segment... brings me crashing back down to reality... that it is not actually Friday.

But for some reason I like change.

like i need to change out this Granny Smith apple... I've also decided that I want a mac mini... and to paint it a granny smith-esque color.
I like to change my address.
I like to change jobs
I like to dabble with stuff that ain't broke.
I'd like to trade-up some friends...

I even have a carpool buddy... look at that!!
me going green in my car that gets 33 mpg on average

Actually we're just attempting to try this out... so nothing is set in stone.

Carpool buddy: so I heard Lauren is coming to CA for vacation.
me thinking(...Lauren...Lauren....OOOOOOH Larrie.)
me: yep to Newport
Carpool buddy: we should hang out with her the middle of next week.
Me: no can do.. I'm going a camping.
Carpool buddy: oh well that leave saturday, sunday and monday....

So I have to pack... meet the ex-wifey's new dog (apparently I need to bond with the lil son of a biatch...its funny because its three-and-a-half-month old boy dog..., the son of a female dog...which is also called a ... well... if this needed explaining... you very well may be one of the friends that need trading up) ... and hang out on the Newport coast... rough weekend... living at the beach ROCKS!

Some stupid facebook (though it could be a e-mail forward/myspace thing whatever) thing.

SUPPOSEDLY if you've seen over 85 of these films, you have no life. Mark the ones you've seen. There are 239 films on this list. Copy this list, go to your own facebook account, paste this as a note. Then, put x's next to the films you've seen, add them up, change the header adding your number, and click post at the bottom. Have fun.

So...

I'm sick... yeah go figure... who gets sick with summer only 2 weeks away?!?!?!

apparently I do...

fear not my three faithful blog readers...

Nicki and Reagan are also sick... So I'm not the only person that mother nature has touched with a evil case of who knows what funky flu strain.

More sickliness = more sleep = more time to dream... seriously... my mind goes into overdrive at night? why probably because I have no creative outlet in the day time?

dream 1... I was in a race... I kept up with the peeps, so go me... I think we were chasing down bank robbers too...

eventually I was off in dream 2 land
where I was in a gang of Christian missionaries in San Jose/Santa Cruz living on the streets... we preached the good word... then we stole food so we didn't die... hmmm... no hypocrisy there...

dreamland #3... i was playing futbol with Larrie... she was quite bossy... oh wait... this is actually something that would probably be a real life happening.

L: are YOU going to take the corner?!?!?!
Me: sure... I thought...
L: whatever just kick it to me...
Me: *kick... then I get it back and cross it... over the cross bar..*
L: idiot.

yep Larrie takes her futbol hard core serious... Once like in the summer of 03? maybe 04? I was at her house playing fifa soccer on gamecube... one thing I've always enjoyed about futbol games is the unnecessary tackling you can get away with...

well... my tackling got over-zealous and down goes the keeper... which led to a red card... which led to us being down a man...which led to a very very very very very dirty look from Larrie.

This dream was a lot more vivid of course at 6 in the morning... but what can you do. I really wish I could be a part of some sleeping/dream study. Then I can see my brain activity go all crazy... the punching and kicking and talking I probably do in my sleep... it would be interesting.

EDIT:

Sucking Sweet "healthy" Jamba @ The block during office hours...
at least my tongue feels better.

Happy B-Day Jason

Hmmm nice things to say about Jason....

1- He's been a contact on all four cell phones I've had.
2- We went to Las Vegas for his bachelor party? that was fun...
3- he got married on the day the Get Up Kids came to town.... wait... you jerk!!!
4- I think my thighs look the same... biking every day or not doing anything... hmmm
5- I didn't want to be comps with him... jajaja
AP: you sound disappointed...
me: whatever...*throws phone across the room*
(thats because I was tired of being a junior comp)
6- He's more asian than I am?
7- He's been in school for eight years... congrats dr. jason... or I mean regular ole double bacholors Jason.

Another First

So the missionaries stopped by... I've been stopped/talked to maybe five times (Provo 3 times? salt lake once?, CA once before) by missionaries in the past. No one assumes I'm LDS. The BRT goes great and then it always gets a bit awkward when they're getting into the find out questions with like, "so what do you know about our church?"

Um quite a bit... I guess?

(awkward pause, you can usually see the shifting gears in their heads while they take it from a door approach to a member missionary message)

this time they came to visit ME. so they knew I was LDS... needless to say, there was a lot of awkward silence.

LOTS of it.

So do you surf?

Nope..

silence.....

so um... yeah, I really don't have balance when I'm facing my side for some reason...

silence....

So do you guys want to come in or something?

jajajajajajajajajajajajajaja... it was an AWKWARD 20 minutes or so.

Hmph

So everywhere I go, it seems someone is moody.

I'm getting annoyed, frustrated, peeved , annpeestrated?

Work it seems that someone will get moody about something one right after the other... I thought these cycles were suppose to sync up eventually?!?!

Oh it continues elsewhere, my roommate got mad because I turned the water down on the sprinklers... half the front of the house was wet... the "grass" was turning into a marsh and the sidewalk drenched... I thought we could turn it down.

Apparently I was wrong? Because he's "trying to make the grass green" and blah blah blah as he goes off storming and slamming doors. I think if we want green grass... maybe we should pull out the weeds and plant some sod.

Oh well I guess when you spend 22 hours at home in your room a day.. your going to want the grass that you don't see on the other side of the house to be green. my bad. my bad.

really its just stupid and its contagious... b/c I just slammed some food into a hot pan and splashed hot oil on myself... hahahaha iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii'm dumb and I have the oil burn on my arm to prove it.

Note I-Tunes on random doesn't = good angry music listening.

Its looking...better... I think?

BYU Snoozeball

So every so often when I'm bored and already know how my A's/Sharkies/Earthquakes are doing, I look at what BYU sports does.

BYU baseball sucked this year. But that was to be expected. I don't care if the Laws are coaching...(I think they're kind of douches anyways...) who in their right mind if they have talent would go to school at a state that is covered in snow when the season starts?!?

anyways this is the BYU football non-conference schedule.

Northern Iowa... ooooooh scary. Division I-AA
Washington... yawn
UCLA... semi-yawn (could be a threat if their qbs weren't so gimpy)
Utah State. yawn

seriously? who plans these schedules? Utah @ Salt Lake is the only game that is standing between them and a 12-0 season and the eventually complaints of "oh no us poor mormons got screwed out of a BCS bowl AGAIN who cares if we played 9 really crappy teams, 12-0 is REALLY hard to do."

and before Reagan chimes in we'll see who the Utes play
Michigan- hmmmm
Utah State- yawn
Weber state- hahahaa
Oregon State- hmmmm

hmm.. poor Utes.

Well Then.

Secrets of the 7 Basic Blog Posts
By Lore Sjöberg 13 Hours Ago
According to some people, there are only 36 basic story plots that just get reused. Others say there are merely 20. Some people even say there's only one plot, but they probably just watch too many Michael Bay movies. I like the theory that there are only seven plots. It's a nice round number, and the plots are vague enough that you can shoehorn anything from Citizen Kane to a cereal commercial into them.
In the spirit of oversimplifying things so that you can smugly shove human endeavors into pre-labeled slots, I'd like to present my own, contemporary take on this premise: the Seven Basic Blog Posts.

1. Be upset!
Terrible things are happening in one of the following: the world, the web or a television show you really like. Make a blog post about it! People will comment about how much they agree with you. Then they'll make their own blog posts about the subject, and other people will comment about how much they agree with them. If we all work together we'll learn that we can make a real impact on our pageviews.
2. Buy a thing!
For too long, the mainstream media have shoved advertising down our throats. It's time for us to take the reins of mass communication and shove advertising down each other's throats! If we both see the same overproduced movies and lust after the same overpriced devices, then maybe the bitter wind of loneliness won't bite quite so fiercely.
3. Animals are cute!
Nobody likes animals when they act like animals. Videos of a cat snapping a robin's neck don't go big. No, we like animals when we can convince ourselves that they're just like us, only with worse spelling. For the purposes of this category, animals also includes babies and children younger than 8.
4. People are dumb!
Try this: Put up videos of yourself volunteering at a soup kitchen, giving a speech at a symposium and breaking your arm in seven places doing the "shopping cart luge." Guess which one will get the most hits. We like our animals to appear smarter than they really are and our humans dumber, which means that the perfect internet celebrity would be a somewhat slow-witted centaur. In a Darth Vader outfit.
5. Something I like, only different!
Liking new things takes so much effort. You have to learn all these unfamiliar characters or remember completely new lyrics. It's much easier to like something that you already know about. The Matrix -- in cookie form! The Lord of the Rings -- if Frodo was a ninja! The Mario Bros. theme song -- played on the hollowed-out skulls of owls! We're already starting to see this undergo a third iteration: Star Wars, only with homemade lightsabers, only in a Weezer video! In about 10 seconds, someone's going to make a Lego version of that video, bringing it to the fourth level.
6. Weird science!
This includes homemade experiments involving explosives, as well as actual scientific studies. There are two types of scientific studies: Ones you agree with, and ones you don't. If you disagree with a study, you should link to it and point out how stupid and biased it is. If you agree, you should link to it and point out how ridiculous it is that scientists get paid to state the obvious. Either way, you're educating your readers that you're smarter than science.
7. Me, the blogger!
We've reached an age where egotism is considered too much work. Why discuss your hopes and fears when you can just post the results of online tests, show cartoon versions of yourself and collect "friends"? It's a good thing Anais Nin wasn't a blogger, or instead of a steamy tale of sexual awakening and creative fervor, we'd just know that if she was a Ninja Turtle, she'd be Raphael.

Born helpless, nude and unable to provide for himself, Lore Sjöberg eventually overcame these handicaps to become a blogger, a logger and an otter.

Hm I do 1, 2 and 7 occasionally...

Well Hello Bed

So after some camping... the bed was quite welcoming...
I had a pretty fun dream... well fun because... um yeah. Usually they're crazy dreams...this was normal... kinda... sorta...

So I was working at some office. The head honcho guy was like, "I'm bored... You guys should race... I'll give everyone who does $100."

So who could say no to free $100.

So we race around floors butts in office chairs wheeling around corners... rubbing people out into walls... down staircases... etc.

So I guess I won because I got a checky... $300,000.

now I don't know what I did to deserve all those many 0s. but awesome.

So I went to my parents house. I showed my dad... I showed everyone... I didn't know what to do with it. 300k rocked.

Well then I went back to my place of residence (some crappy 5th floor apartment). The door was missing a deadbolt and apparently I was robbed but they only thought the TV was worth taking. For some reason I was quite angry.

Then I realized, I just got 300k and I could go buy a better TV... heck I could go buy a better place to live (almost).
As things were looking up. I turned around there was some chick and some kid and she was like... "They also stole the deadbolt."

I guess I'm cohabiting with a chick? maybe I was married? whatever. I don't know who the chick was.

But I got to go buy a new tv... and a new house (with a free deadbolt). So it was definitely win-win.

More DIK-ing Around Yosemite

Oh... On Thursday someone jacked our wood from our campsite. 3 bundles @ $6 a pop. not cool. Wood stolen in a forest... It was hidden in the bear box too. Those bastards.

(The ranger found two bundles the next day left behind at some campsite...This sounds like a BYU Daily Universe Police Beat Report...)

FRIDAY
We hiked Half Dome. 15 miles round trip... 4801 feet up into the sky... poor heels. Then 4801 feet back down. poor knees/shins.

DIK on the trail near Nevada Falls.

The cables up the rest of Half Dome. Yeah my thigh totally cramped up right at the end of the cables... That kind of hurt like a mother.

Yosemite Valley...down far below.

More of Yosemite from Half Dome. I overheard someone at the summit say that this view was totally not worth it. Hahaha poor guy.

Vernal Falls

All in all it took us a little over ten hours round-trip. With about an hour of sitting on the top. I guess that isn't too bad.

Saturday
There was a lot of lounging around... At one point we were all laying on a full-sized air mattress. Needless to say... three people on an air mattress is no fun when another person posses the same equipment as you do.

So we were going to stay til Sunday... til someone decided they didn't want to drive back all the way to Boise in one day.

So this created an aftershock from Wednesday's hating Irene fest... because while I had things I could have done today and I didn't think I would have been choosing driving home over them. But, I did have about a quarter-sized chunk of skin missing on my right heel and my calves didn't quite realize they could relax yet... (though they are maxing their sexiness with their taunt muscle tension)

one hour outside of Yosemite is awfully flat...

Oh I got pulled over for the first time ever... Almost 10 years of being a licensed driver... and a Tulare County Sheriff took my "speeding and getting away with it" virginity...

I was a bit worried... because I was engaged in a "thrilling" 3-way text convo that it maybe because of swerving slightly or something.

Nope.

Doing 80 in a 70 in the MIDDLE OF NO WHERE on the 99.

Sheriff: do you know the maximum speed limit is 70?
me: idea #1: well the last sign I saw had a 99 on it so... (BAD!)
idea #2: NO speeku engrish?(bad!)
idea #3: um everyone else is going this speed... (plausible)
idea #4: well you were riding my ass so I HAD to go faster... (BAD!)
"um.. oh... yeaaaa...." (smooth Kaakun...really smooth)

I had no idea where my registration is... I found about 4 of them in the glove box (one was 5 years old!)...

I ended up getting a "Please slow down sir" and going 70 nearly got me run off the road by speeding semis... really 80 was a LOT safer than 70.

I was ready to ask if I could take a picture with him if I got a ticket... maybe next time? you know to document and send to my mom to throw in the ole baby's firsts book.

So that was Yosemite... sadly there were no more relationship-ish photos to add to the wedding chapel picture of '07. Maybe there will be an IK Idaho Falls trip when Irene's sister's divorce goes through??? She'd (Sarah/Irene/whoever) would be totally for it I think... Irene should be, especially after her, "I decided you all suck because no one visits me ever" rant.
Sorry Irene, I guess Larrie and I don't want to go to Boise.

There are more pictures on the Facebook. A link for the handful of blog readers that don't facebook... I think it tries to make you sign up...or something... I don't know. Link
