Spool #2

I got off work today at 1 p.m. I decided to give the hot tub another spin. I went to the hot tub at the main pool. It was hot. A bit too hot for 1:30 p.m. I stuck my feet in the main pool. It reminded me of the salt water pools in Japan (Most spas in Japan have a salt water pool, they cool down to below 32 F, they use salt water because it doesn't freeze at 32 F. This way you have a pool you can "relax" in that is about 20 F)

I then went over to the spool. The bath water temperature of the spool is nice at 1:30 pm. I spent a good 20 mins relaxing in the spool.

Then I waddled over to the pool closest to me. The pool feels heated! or at least it was today at 130 p.m. I then stuck my feet in the hot tub over there. The hot tub was cold.

So it is pretty much the story of goldilocks and the three bears. One was too hot, one was too cold and the other was just right.

The hot tubs/pools/spool have a bit more organic matter than I'd normally like. But if you just think of it as a chlorinated lake/pond/etc. It's not soo bad (I know you're like ewww).

If you want to carve a pumpkin and dont want a mess or have someone named Lincoln to take the pumpkin seeds and put every possible thing on them, and then bake them (although the Cheeds, cheese and seeds, weren't as bad as they sound. You can virtually carve a pumpkin online. They even put a candle in it when you're done.

I finally caught up on watching all the episodes of 'Heroes' today. It is as good as the first season of 'Lost'. It just doesn't have J.J. Abrams little solemn three chord piano score that seems to be used on every TV show he does.

It's a nifty drama though. First seasons usually are the best though, The second seasons of 'My Name is Earl' and 'How I met your mother' aren't as good as the first. The only other shows I bother watching are 'South park' and 'The Office'. I've been downloading 'Lost' because I know living out here, one day I'm going to get bored enough to watch that twisted Abrams' show.

I'm eagerly awaiting 'Scrubs' to start up again. By far the best sit-com since 'Arreseted Development'.

So thats the nephew at almost 4 months.

So happy.

SO, I bought 3 guppies and 3 ghost shrimp Tuesday.

Today I have 9 fish and 3 ghost shrimp.

Crazy, 6 baby guppies. The father isn't in the tank, so that could prevent a retarded family of guppies in the tank. It's not likely the babies survive to be adults. They have to live with 3 adult guppies, 3 ghost shrimp and a filter that could suck the little buggers up. They also have to try to not starve to death, they adults eat everything, the ghost shrimp seem to have a hard time getting anything.

It's funny because I had a dream I knocked the tank over and all there were little squiggly things everywhere... and now there are baby guppies... too bad none of my other dreams came true, of course there are plenty of dreams I'm glad didn't come true.

EDIT: THERE ARE ACTUALLY 7 guppy babies, the nitrate levels are going to go through the roof, thats a lot of new poopers.

(AP) SEOUL Condom sales and bookings at several of South Korea's pay-by-the-hour "love motels" surged in the aftermath of North Korea's nuclear test, according to statistics released Thursday.

South Koreans are used to living in the shadow of war, and life has continued as normal across the country in the wake of the Oct. 9 explosion. But statistics on the number of condoms sold in recent weeks suggest that despite their apparently blasé reaction to the North's nuclear bluster, many South Koreans may be seeking solace in sex.

A leading chain of convenience stores reported Thursday that their condom sales rose to an average of 1,930 a day in the week after Oct. 9, compared to 1,508 a day for the year to Sept. 30.

Sales of the prophylactics dropped slightly to 1,772 in the week of Oct. 16-21, but remained well above previous norms.

Another national chain said it sold 3.54 million South Korean won (US$3,721) worth of condoms a day during the week after the test — a 14.8 percent rise over last month's sales figures, and a 12 percent rise over the year to Sept. 30.

The statistics were first reported by a prominent newspaper, Chosun Ilbo, which ran a full-color graphic of a condom-shrouded missile bearing the North Korean flag.

It was impossible to know whether the increase in sales was directly linked to a heightened sense of vulnerability or stress among South Koreans.

However, the head of the Korea Institute for Sex Education, Seong Gyeong-won, said it is not uncommon for people to seek comfort in the arms of a lover during times of crisis.

"People tend to have urges to procreate in times of extreme situations," she said. "Stress is released through sex ... it's one of the top 10 reasons why sex is good for the body."

A popular online reservation site for several business hotels and South Korea's ubiquitous "love motels" — the popular term for lodgings built for clandestine rendezvous — also reported a rise in bookings in the two weeks after Oct. 9, according to the Chosun Ilbo report.

The motels are a fixture across South Korea. In one of the world's most densely populated countries, where extended families often live together, such accommodations provide a refuge for those seeking discreet intimate encounters.

But those who haven't already made their reservations will have to wait. The online system says it has no available slots until next month.

Chicago Tasty Dogs

In the Target shopping center is a Chicago Tasty Dogs. It was tasty. It was relatively cheap. Except the drink, who calls a 16oz a large?!?!?! And at a buck 59 thats a bit pricey. The dog was good, the fries they give you with the dog, not so great. But I wasn't expecting fries anyways. Overall I think i'd go back.

Jay Payton sent a letter to the media stepping up for his former manager.

I just wanted to let you know that Ken Macha was right (in Carl Steward's Sunday column "Macha voices dismay"). I really didn't have a problem with him; I only had a problem with my role.

At the beginning of the season, after about 40 or 50 rough at-bats, I was deemed the odd-man out. It was exactly how he told it. I went in, I yelled, he yelled back, he told me to produce more. I told him I would if I played. We shook hands and never really had any problems the rest of the year.

I just wanted to shed a little positive light on the situation, because I know firsthand what it is like to get things blown out of proportion for one or two little incidents.

Nobody is perfect, all we can do is try to be the best we can and learn from our experiences. I don't like to say mistakes, because what one person considers a mistake, someone else may not.

I know this letter probably won't get printed, but a little blurb somewhere would be nice for a man who is taking a rough hit right now.

I moved into an apartment that was previously occupied by a woman (a rather attractive woman). I used to think the Victorias secret catalog was a nice mailbox surprise, but to get one every other week is just ridiculous. I also got the shoe book today. Yeah Mr. Postmaster is going to throw out his back delivering all these catalogs.

My measuring cups also came today, so I don't have to eyeball measurements anymore. It actually wasn't as disastrous as you might think...

Bring in a can and get a kiss... A kiss from who? What if it's a can of chopped liver do you get a little peck while a $5 can of stew gets a big wet one right on the lips? Kaakun and dances = no fun, so I guess I'll never find out.

I grabbed a slice of pizza from Papreza's. I found a liking to local cuisine in Utah. So I'm always willing to give local restaurants a spin. It was alright. Wasn't great, wasn't bad, I'll probably end up sticking with Papa John's. The crust was a bit hard.

Apparently, the blogger finds all the horrible things that happen in Las Vegas and blogs about them. I found out about the site about a month ago, but it took me a while to get up the courage to look at it. I don't want to know that my neighbors are dying in vicious gun fights over spilt milk.

If you see anything about an asian male dying in the Silverado Ranch area, well it's been swell knowing you.

Since leaving Provo, I've dropped $34.20 at Jack in the Box.

Which might seem like a lot, but I've dropped this much at the following locations;

Food is expensive. There are a couple local places, but yeah in general, thats my non-grocery store food bill. Eating out = bad on the wallet. and would probably be bad on the lean-awesome kaakun body. But the XanGo keeps me lean and healthy. So I'm good to go.

I've also noticed that the time on my blog is still set to mountain time...hm.

Thursday

Last night I gave the spool a spin. Part pool, part hot tub. How can you go wrong?
(I stole the picture from the apartment complex's website.)

7:40pm checked out the closest hot tub...the water was a bit cold to the bare hand.
7:43pm decided jets blowing air into the the tub wasn't going to heat up the water very quickly.
7:46pm found the spool. It's a bit warm, comparable to bath water thats been sitting there for a lil while.
8:06pm fingers are pruney. spool time is over.

I wandered around in it for a little bit. It's a neat little thing, it would be great if I knew like 25242 people and it could hit 100 F.

Apparently some guy made what he claims is the world's fastest street car. Interesting 5 mpg. Wait he's in England... Shouldn't that be like kilometers per liter or something?!?!?!

So now that I have my computer out of the storage unit, I've learned that after overtime, bonuses, paid time off, etc. I earned a whopping 10.46 an hour!!!

Hello from a LGVX8300 and a Panasonic DMC-TZ1

So I still don't know where the freaking camera's USB cord is. So I had to jimmy rig a way to get photos off the camera.






We golfed like madmen in Utah before I left. Then there is a picture of my overlly packed storage unit in Vegas. Thats at the top of the probably 8-foot door people. The unit is 5x5x11 feet and i filled up a good 5x5x8 of it. Then there is a picture of a nephew (prior to almost gubbering on uncle) and then a picture of the fountain show at the Bellagio.

The A's couldn't win a game against the Tigers. I rather have faced the Yankees b/c their pitching is a lot worse off than the Tigers, oh well, can't do anything now. Congrats to the Tigers and their eventual victory over the Cards or Mets.

So this is my ride. It's pretty sweet. I get like 13 mpg. It take premium gas too... But it's worth the social status. Actually that's all a lie. This is a limited edition 1 of 50 cars. Crazy. Porsche doesn't even sell cars in this color (besides for the limited Edition set)


Laguna Beach. That was a fun little trip.

The A's are going to play the Tigers tommorrow night for Game 1 of the ALCS.
A-Rod and the rest of the Yankee "stars" are going to be either golfing or watching from the comfort of their home.

I'm slowly getting my home together.
I need a couch. If you want to donate money so I can have a couch. I'll let you sleep on it if you choose to come to visit.

These guys are hitchhiking to 50 state capitals in 50 days. I don't know how they will get to Honolulu... maybe on the back of a whale? on a cruise ship? a sea turtle? They'll be carrying a GPS tracker so you can know their exact location and pick them up, or throw trash at them or something.

So for like the first time in

who knows how long. I have no Internet access at home. I'm currently typing away inside the library. I move into my new place saturday. I can pick up a cable modem and plug that bad boy in and I'm good to go.

The A's took the first two games against Minnesota in Minnesota.

Haren can finish off the series friday. His 3.75 ERA when he pitches in Oakland should help hopefully more than his 5-7 record at home. Of course, Santana was 12-0 at home this year and we beat him... I'm just praying they can win one of the next 3 games and can finally get to the next round.

It's pouring outside... its a good thing i'm hiding out in the library.

I miss having Internet at home.

I missed out on playing goalie for team elevation. Of course they might not be 3-0 if I was goalie...

I've been spending my time looking for episodes of 'How I met your Mother' it's a decent show for being on CBS. I also finally found the 3rd season of Arrested Development... Boy that was a great show.
