SALT LAKE CITY – In Utah, even if you don't get arrested for drunk driving you might still have to call your mom from jail — sort of.
The Utah Highway Patrol and some local bars hope letting people practice an uncomfortable call from the local lockup will help dissuade drinking and driving.
A phone number has been set up to recreate what it would feel like to make such a call. After dialing 1-877-JAIL-FON, the caller is given the option to talk to a hysterical mother or a disapproving father, among others. A prerecorded message then plays one end of what the conversation might sound like, with the caller filling in the other half.
Slogans associated with the campaign include "Getting a DUI is easy, calling your mom from jail is hard."
The campaign runs through Sept. 7.

Drunk on Gatorade
So I was pounding the Gatorades and listening to Manchester Orchestra. Three 32 oz bottles in 24 hours.

yes it is in me... and four different toilets too...
The "lite" Gatorades aren't bad, i dunno if the Tiger Woods Focus helped me focus at all... but whatever. It was pretty tasty.

Hm... I need to vaccum... Needed to for a while.

Bachelor Party... or Something

We kinda sucked at paintball.
Playing Horse with the Jones Family.
Mama Jones tending to her slightly broken son...
Post shooting climbing.
Kaakun climbing on a rock

The Groom got shot... of course 1 vs 8 probably wasn't the fairest odds.
Morning of Gandolfo sandwiches then slaving away on the backyard for some last minute touch ups on the reception area, with the Joneses and Greg's buddy from home Brandon.
Paintballed... with all the boys.
Climbed with the Joneses and Brandon
off to Chris' house for some dinner and basketball.

Killing Time in the SLC
I flew into SLC and had time to kill. It was a relay race of getting Kaakun to Happy Valley... Took the free shuttle from the airport to Temple Square and wandered the streets of Salt Lake during touristy stuff, well the stuff I never did before. Observation Deck, Beehive house (maybe I did that before), Church History Library.
Up on the Observation Deck.

Beehive House

Crown Burger

Church History Library... just opened up in June. Who knew.

I was picked up by Larrie (the only person I hung out with that didn't know the groom, maybe a perk for glancing at the blog every once in a while) we ate at Crown Burger, unlike our last Crown Burger trip, I think she kept it down this time.
Ellie picked me up and chauffeured me down to Utah County.
Go drop my stuff off at David's. David hugs Ellie and says to me...

I've Been Replaced!!!!

Needless to say, there were some good times... Now I have to ask Mary if Greg can come out and play.
Kaakun: Mary, on a scale of one to ten, one being you'd publicly spit on my grave, ten being you'd fly cross country if I was terminally ill to nurse me back. How much do you like me, and be honest.
Mary: Three.
Yeah... Maybe Mary won't let Greg come out and play with me... So here is a video, The Untimely Death of Single Greg. It's a little better on facebook. Blogger only lets you upload videos that are 100 MB> in size.

Hahahahaha
So there is this indy band called Five Times August
No idea if he's any good, but he is trying to raise money to release his next album, he has a decent sized amount of work previously, so obviously he's no
"American Idol oh no my two months of working to become a pop star has amounted to me getting voted off woe is me booo hoo F you Simon Cowell for killing my dream" musician.
Anyways he wants $20k, has a PBS-style break down if you donate x amount you'll get this. But if you go for the gusto and donate $5k... you get all of this.
