San Jose

Sharks

better step it up. An Oct record of 6-5-1 isn't very impressive. Even though they're leading the Pacific division as of right now. Who's going to be at the Staples Center Saturday night? I am. This week can't end quick enough.

The Sharks better win this home-home series with the Kings.

Holy Cow! 103 Hamburgers in 8 Minutes

Joey Chestnut, 23, of San Jose, Calif., surpassed the previous record of 97 Krystal burgers - 2 1/2 inches square - held by Japan's Takeru Kobayashi, set at last year's Krystal Square Off.

Yeah... all San Jose has is a couple of MLS championships thanks to the San Jose Earthquakes of Houston, Smashmouth the band and a glutton named Joey Chestnut. I guess we are the Silicon Valley... hm.

I guess being the safest big city in America is nice too...

Natalie Gulbis

17th on the Offical Money list for the LPGA this year...$722,188.00

So Jordan was like, "so you should see how far they'd let you get wearing the terry cloth robe." So I wandered. I wandered outside along the gardens down to the golf course and lo and behold, there is Natalie Gulbis.

Hitting balls, getting yelled at by her coach for not committing to the shot.

I was tempted to ask for her to autograph something. But the sharpie didn't quite make it on the trip. That and people probably don't like to be bothered halfway through a golf course.

Her wikipedia article said...

When she released a calendar for 2005 just before the 2004 U.S. Women's Open, which featured her in different pictures showing her playing golf, in addition to striking poses in swimwear, the United States Golf Association (USGA) barred it from being sold at the event, deeming it inappropriate.

Lake Las Vegas

Loews, kind of a plain room. The roll away bed was a bit springy... Jordan didn't want to risk accidental man spoonin I guess.

The fountains from the beach.

The fountains up close.

Sunrise. Jordan's room had a so-so view.

Hole 9 of Reflection Bay

Natalie Gulbis. yum.

They had a water slide. My trunks were like brakes.. So if I tried to keep my butt up. I'd go faster and could catch a lil air on the drops. Which was fun (til the landing).

They had a classic car show at the village. By classic, it really just meant American cars... yawn. I don't know how you can consider a new Dodge Magnum a classic car...This Cobra coupe was kinda cool though.

The Ritz-Carlton has a fancy bathroom...then 1-ply toilet paper.

Driving back home during sunset.

The JK Trip in LV

So one day Jordan was like, "I'm going to Lake Las Vegas this weekend, wanna come?"
Me:I was like where are you staying?
Jordan: The Montelago
Me: ok, thats like three star resorting. If I'm driving four hours for a one-day trip. I'm going four-star.

(four hours later)

Jordan: I'm at the Loews.
Me: Really? I'm in.

(This was more or less how the conversation went, sorta)

So I got to Vegas about 1ish Saturday.

At the Bellagio.

At the Bellagio

Gellato. yum.

The Flood Gates Were Opened and This is What Trickled Out

So a little while back I wrote a plea asking for some inspiration. I heard a lil ditty. Something along the lines of Gavin Schmavin.

This is what was written on a cocktail napkin at the end of a bar in Santa Monica.
It has to be good.

So during the sub-annual spouse swap, LeeElle shared a lil ditty by Kevin Lloyd.

I soon realized the lil trift of Kevin with "switch the vowel change the consonant, Gavin" moving in.

Lo and behold I felt inspired to share a lil fact.

Before there was Kevin, there was Kirk.

Article A:"awkward puberty age" way trumps over "preaching the good word and getting worms in your small intestine" or "playing dive bars in beach cities at wee hours in the morning".

Article B: I have tenure.
John-Kirk 92-99
-Kevin 00-05
-Gavin 05-??

Article C: Misery loves company.

Every Saturday during the middle school/High school years.
J:I'm bored
K: yeah
J: I'm bored
K:...
(15 mins later of dead air)
J: I'm coming over.
K: ok.

This led to such exciting events such as
-my head getting sat on and I got in trouble for not being nice
-going to see Dumb and Dumber at AMC in Milpitas getting turned away because we didn't have student IDs on us. going all the way home. getting the ID back to AMC Milpitas and they didn't ask for them.
-Countless times of getting lost camping
-512 cartoons drawn during early morning seminary
-one awesome date where we "nexted" the only girl in the car b/c she really didn't understand the fundamentals of competition in the credit union business.
-one season of OC watching
-one lackluster road trip to Utah State

July '97- Worked as slaves for the Boy Scouts of America. Lived in refurbished Army tents in a bog as the remains of Hurricane Danny slammed into our crappy tents.

Dec '02 spent New Years Eve watching Castaway...

Yeah...that trumps anything Kevin and Gavin can muster up.

BrokeBack Wisconsin?

Backing Wisconsin is Broken up. It was a good year long run. With tours all over the US of A, Western US, California, Los Angeles County, beach cities of Los Angeles County.

The Beginning of the End. JD likes to blend into the shadows.

The crowd, strangely, Backing Wisconsin seems to have a huge Japanese following. I guess my blog is a hit in the Japanese poppish punk rawk community.

LeeElle's awesome view behind the six foot billion inch tall man. Yes LeeElle has night vision. It came with the ability to sign gibberish with her hands.

The End of the End. You know what that means! No more driving around LA beach cities at 1 in the morning. Where will I go now for my lukewarm cup of Ovaltine on a musky Tuesday night in November now?

The only video I thought about taking because it would be just distorted gibberish if All four were going all out. Sadly there is no drum solo. Sadly there isn't much of anything on this short little clip.

THE SMOKE OF THE FIRES

http://rapidfire.sci.gsfc.nasa.gov/gallery/?2007296-1023/PacificOcean.A2007296.2140.2km.jpg

Yeah look at that. All the smoke from the fires creaping out over the Pacific.

I Guess This is My Halloween Dream...

So the city gets attacked by Zombies. Not ransacked. Just a handful of zombies terrorizing the city. Not enough to keep me inside.

Kevin, John and I go cruising the city in a mini-van taxi. Just cruising around the city lade da de da. How many zombies did we see terrorizing the city? Zero. sad.

Get out grab some grab at some diner.

Get into a taxi. drive around some more. Still zero zombies.

Get to an apartment building I guess I live at. I ask Kevin how much it was for the taxi. He said $15. I ask thats it for driving around all night? He says John paid for the taxi earlier when we got out to eat.

I drop $15 in the driver's lap and walk into the foyer of my apt building. It's torn up and part of the staircase is missing. I hope to and fro up the remains of the staircase. And go inside my apt. Eat a bowl of cereal.

Then I woke up.

It was an exhausting dream, I guess. I went to take a shower. I almost fell down in the shower. That would be a sight. Butt naked and half straddling the tub side unconscious.

Farewell and Goodnight 2006-2007

Maybe they'll cover Ten Minutes. LeeElle can play the keyboards. It was the last song TGUK ever played together. It would be fitting.

Kaakun on the Phone

So yesterday I took a message. I asked how you spell Phan. To which she replied.

"There are a lot of Vietnamese in Irvine. I think you should be able to spell Phan."

Ok Ms. F-A-N. I'll pass along the message.

It's probably a bad thing to be Asian and hate Asians. It's probably not the most Christ-like or Buddha-like attitude. But really you can be a Smyth or a Smith. A Derek or a Derrick. Shawn or Sean. I thought it was a valid question.

I don't really hate Asians. Just the yellow ones that aren't Japanese.

Kaakun in a Classroom

So today was the first day since Dec '05 since I've been in a classroom. I had the privilege of going to grand rounds. Rad.

Much like college, I understood very little, Type IXa, blah blah blah. Pictures of cells that have white things on them...yeah.

Very much unlike college, I was awake for the whole thing.

Hello From a

Splash

Flag

Sun and the haze from CA burning down.

The K(Thank God It's Lauren and not Yamilex)L Tour of HB

The adventures of the semi-annual KL vacation. Oct 2007

I move to a slightly tourist area. Larrie comes down to visit. Its an interesting relationship.

I picked up Larrie at the Long Beach airport Friday night. The airport is pretty small. Probably the smallest airport I've ever set foot in (I thought the airport at Kona, HI was small). It reminded me of the TV show, Wings. I expected to see Tim Daly walking around and Thomas Hayden Church doing janitorial duties.

SATURDAY: I SURE DISNEY A WHOLE LOT.

We went to Disneyland. Happiest place on earth. I thought a blackout day ticket cost $20. Apparently it used to be $30, now its $40. Um yeah... Disney is expensive.

9 rides for $40. Yeah the "50 rides for $128" status my pass was at is now the "59 rides for $168" status. Larrie runs into a Salt Lake friend, we Disney as a four-some for a little while.

Larrie is drenched from a large splash while sitting in the front of Splash Mountain flume.

Rachel comes out and Disney's and we Disney as a five-some for about an hour.

THE KL TOUR MEETS CRAZY LADY (who probably could be Mormon if someone carried pass along cards)

By now, the Disneying is down to just the two of us. There is a group of four Asian girl highschoolers. Some caucasian lady. then us.

Crazy Lady (to the HS kiddies): Can you guys film something for me.
HS kiddie: sure
CL:(hands the camera over) Hi I'm waiting in line for Indiana Jones which inspired blah blah blah. I'm about 45 mins away from the front.

We're standing there looking at one another like...hmmm ok.

Next she turns to another Asian, me, for her film shooting needs. She gives another blurb. Larrie asks what she is doing.

CL:"This is just a project for my adult film class in Boston"
Me: (giggling like a school girl inside) "Like Boston, Massachusetts?"
CL: yeah.

We soon find out shes a flight stewardess for Jet Blue and she is on a layaway and decided to Disney. She tells us the difference of the same named rides at Disneyland and Disneyworld.

She decides to film another blurb. We film. A different HS kiddie asked what she was filming for.

CL: Just a personal video. Im going to call it Destination Layover.

I was confused. The filming for a film class made sense. The filming for just a personal video...um just crazy.

Then they shout out they need a two-some. We surry on up and never see the Crazy Lady again.

AFTERMATH

Go back towards home, grab some In-N-Out and watch the San Jose Earthquakes of Houston play Chivas USA on the tele. San Jose tied. sad.

SUNDAY

Your typical Sunday. I go to a quick church meeting. Larrie beaches it up during that. We watch the last couple minutes of the Chicago/LA game and watch Beckham screw up and Chicago scores the game winner.

Church

Eat dinner @ someone's house

Watched Denzel clean up Mexico. You know, good wholesome Sabbath day cinema.

Wow

So this October is probably the best month of the year for mainstream emo/punk/(whatever you want to call it) of the year if not the 21st Century (so far).

In order of how eager my anticipation is.

Say Anything-In Defense of the Genre (10/23)
Thrice- The Alchemy Index Vol I & II (10/16)
Armor For Sleep- Smile For Them (10/30)
The Spill Canvas- No, Really I am Fine (10/2)
Coheed & Cambria- No World for Tomorrow (10/23)
Jimmy Eat World-Chase This Light (10/16)
Saves the Day- Under the Boards (10/30)
Dashboard Confessional-The Shade of Poison Trees (10/2)

SA-just found it...listening to it right now. 6 songs down, 21 more to go. Oh Max Bemis you're my hero. Moved to a major label and still put out a super CD. I have two copies of ...Is a Real Boy. Maybe I'll buy two copies of this album too.

T-I can't find the CD in stores. Every Orange County Best Buy, sold out. Really who'd have thought you couldn't find new released cds on shelves? I found a poorly ripped copy. It is slightly disappointing due to the crapiness of the rip. Like many bands, they found out you can't do what you want to on a major label (despite they say you can when they woo you).

AFS-disappointing, it's good but not great (kinda like MCR's major label debut), but it is their major label debut. I wonder if it is because it is mp3 or just poor production, b/c the cymbals sounded like crap.

TSC-disappointing (same as above), but once again a major label debut.

C&C-just found it...haven't listened yet.

JEW-Same ole quality Jimmy Eat World. Not as quality as pre-Bled American, but its still pretty decent.

STD-haven't found it yet.

DC-Not bad, not great. Chris hasn't been all that memorable after all the lil kiddies found out about him and his woe is me singin' into a can. At least he got over the broken heart (kinda) that he had over the last dozen Dashboard Confessional albums.

Congrats Rockies

You've made me look like an idiot. After "expertly" picking all the DS winners in baseball. You have to go and show me up with a four-game smack down of the Diamondbacks. Who I thought had a better pitching staff and would step it up against their fellow NL West foes in a well fought NLCS. But you've proven me wrong. it is your first World Series. You even got to spray down your home locker room with champagne three times this month. Congrats. I feel sorry for your carpet cleaner.

Since the Rockies made a mockery of trying to come off as the best baseball expert ever. My 4-1 record of picking playoff winners is tied with two ESPN "experts"

-Phil Rogers (who picked the Red Sox to win the ALCS)
-Amy Nelson (who picked the Red Sox to win the ALCS)

Hopefully the Indians beat the Red Sox and I can continue blow smoke up my ____ and bragging to myself that I am more knowledgeable than the ESPN "I love the East coast" experts.

Suggestion Sunday

So back during my Centennial and Roman Gardens' residence. I had creative writing time in church. Three hours usually led to two pages front and back of whimsical stories that led to great un-reverence.

My gauge of success depending on watching Kevin trying to keep his giggles contained.
If he was splitting at the sides with his hand covering his mouth. Well done.

Sometimes it was just dribble which led to the Kevin he he hmm. The modern day golf clap. Off to the trash can with that.

(Tangent: it's kinda weird to see lots of my C/RG associates married... really weird. I don't know why. I guess its a normal Mormon trait; date, get married, have kids, die. )

Anyways.

The creative writing is gone.

Maybe it's because creativity in this Fall TV season is slim.
Maybe it's because work is more serious (I'm explaining jokes... sad).
Maybe it's because i'm more older?
Maybe that one white hair that LeeElle pulled out was the secret hair follicle to my success.

I need suggestions, spark the creative flame. Something besides witty hate-filled barbed comebacks.

Oh and check out Seth's pictures. link rad.

Well Crap

I thought the Diamondbacks would have beat the Rockies in seven. Well its going to have to be seven because those crazy Rockies are still on a roll.

DPD

So driving home Tuesday. I was sitting behind an Altima coupe 3.5SE. It was pretty sweet. So I snapped a picture. I'm in love. The girl sitting in it was alright. But the car was purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrty. $25k and it could be mine too.

I was at Long Beach, CA last night. On a mission to try find Mister Warren G...

I didn't find Warren Griffin the third. But I did find the Queen Mary. They have a two-hour ghost tour on the Queen Mary. I think it would be fun...Now I just need $50 and a friend that wants to drop $50 and go.

Playing With My Roommate's Wii is Fun...

So my roommate went out and bought a Wii this weekend. I finally played it tonight.

I kicked his trash at tennis and baseball. I didn't fare so well at bowling.

I know I'm a sad asian. It took like 11 months to play a next generation console. I only have like ten asian friends on facebook. Sad.

I Thought I Left Provo

So apparently it is Physician Assistant appreciation week.

Yeah to be a PA.

So there is one PA, who had a whole door decoration done. Balloons, frilly things, the works.

This was done before monday at 9 am.

I thought it would have been taken down by the end of the day.

It is still up. She is in her office.

The banners kinda of barracade the door. So I guess she crawled into her office...

The sad thing is, none of the other NPs even have a half-deflated balloon at their desk. Poor NPs.

She is probably one of the more attractive PAs though... So the rule today, to be appreciated, be attractive.

Monday, October 08, 2007

Hmm

I thought the Cubs would have won one game. Nope. Lost 16-6
I thought the Phillies after an Sept surge would have won two games. Nope. Lost 16-8

As much as I hate the Angels, I thought they had some talent to make it go to a five-game series. Nope. They lost 19-4. hahaha. suckers.

Yankees lost in four to the Indians. 16-24. HAHAHA.

9 of the 20 ESPN "experts'" World series pick is out in the division series.
How many picked all the division series winners? An A-Rod-esque playoff performance of 0-for-20.

A-Rod's line during the regular season in a Yankee's uni .403/.573/.303
A-Rod's line during the post season in a Yankee's uni .372/.436/.245

Five Years Ago

In a far off land called Provo. I had an enjoyable fhe group. (In honor of the upcoming KL and sometimes R vacation)

The only time I really give someone a chance is when they're forced on to me via some sort of assignment, like work or in this case, fhe. I got by without knowing you for a good long while and I probably wouldn't miss you for the rest of the ole life line.

Well I spent fall semester associating with two people of this fhe group.

A triangle of sarcasm and wit. Til one day the "triangle" of fun became a "like" segment with an outlier point.

Crap.

I soon found myself on the doorstep of an apt.

An apt of five girls that I really didn't have much in common with. Except being LDS and human.

They didn't have black hair.

They weren't knowledgeable about hockey.

The apt was only 20% Californian.

5 girls and 1 asian led to an interesting mix of people.

such as
-being accused of being in a dirty love triangle by one short Caucasian male.

-Larrie broke some kid's mini van window when they tried to lock her out during a Wendy's run.

-one caffeine-induced game of spin the bottle.

-one awesome videotape that was eventually erased by the above mentioned Caucasian male.

-Maybe a baker's dozen of dates.

-three empty chapstick containers.

-two-hours of hand-holding

-four hours of the state game.

-a season worth of indoor soccer watchin

-one graffitied window

-being the apartment friend with boy parts. Til Arcadia 3 got jealous and stole me away.

Sure it was an enjoyable four months. But, individually the friendships would phase out and die after the summer due to that harsh Wasatch Front summer heat. As a whole it transformed into a 26-foot, 10-breasted, 515 lb identity that weathered the summer.

Five years later I'm still in contact with that identity. Though it has shrunk a tad bit. (Now it's a 17-foot, six-breasted identity)

All thanks to the wonders of MSN Messenger, Google Talk and the fact I wanted cheap lodging for my So. Cal trips.

Now we vacation together. who'd a thunk.

PFFH (the nephew's point of view)

Can't you see I don't want the ball?!?!?!?!

Yeah. I don't need him. I can walk down the street on my own. I'm old enough.

This will make an excellent sieve. One shot to the kidney and I'm off free.

I was still hungry. I tried to order a pizza but he caught me... drat.

I'm Preparing to be a Snow Crab Fisherman on Dangerous Catch

So at the pier. This guy kept yelling, "sir can you go to the tackle shop to get the crab net?" as people walked by.

Finally he got his panties in a bunch. and I decided to help him (Pffh he was an Angels fan, his panties bunch easily).

I walked the pier to the tackle shop, asked for a crab net and walked back. I probably should have ran. But I wasn't going to break a sweat helping an Angels' fan.

He barked instructions as he tried to manuever the fish. I was tempted to accidently knock his Angels hat over the edge to a watery grave. I however did not.

Soon we won the fight. Landed the ugly beast. It was ugly. There would have been a picture of me pulling up the beast in the net if my sister would have taken the lens cap off the camera.

We walked away from the scene. He was overly excited. Angels fans... over celebrate the littlest accomplishments. Have you ever seen K-Rod after notching an easy save? You'd think he just clinched a playoff spot.

People were pulling up these things everywhere. Someone asked someone what it was. They said sand shark. I knew it wasn't that. So I went home and googled it.

Apparently its a shovelnose guitarfish. They're of the Shark/Ray family. Some people think they taste like scallops. They swim in schools.
He was excited.

The last two pictures were stolen off the Internet. To show you what an ugly beast it is.

Kaakun v2.01

I've updated everything.

The banner, the weather, the occupation, paid 1&1 for my hosting.

Babysitting

We were at the beach we saw this girl working on her volleyball skills. So we came back home. After my sister and brother-in-law took off, we worked on the nephew's throwing arm. Look at him gun that ball thing in the air. With such precision too. Well done kiddo.

Then I flipped on the TV and he got interested in it for like ten minutes... then he started eating. Luckily he stopped when I ran out of food. Eat Eat Eat.

Then he drank a whole sippy cup of water. Glutton.

Soon he was bored with Flushed Away. We took a walk. He liked some person's water fountain.

Then he was zonked out. Parenting is easy!!!

Pushing Daisies S01E01

It has Audrey from 'Little Shop of Horrors' in it.

Funny.

It's kinda of like a Lemony Snicket's/Tim Burton kind of love child.

I hope this show lasts for a little while.

Usually the well done cult favorites don't last too long.

One More Month!!!

Kaakun + Kings + Sharks = sweet...unless the Sharks lose.

I Will Acquire A Pet Penguin and His Name Shall be Sidney

So I hurried home. I got on the computer and started looking for some I-tunes to download. The first one was Say Anything- Baby Girl, I'm a Blur.

I like Say Anything. Got in before the mainstream media started talking about this kid who sings into a can and is friends with Henry Winkler.

Drove all the way down to Vegas. To see the first show of the first headlining Say Anything tour. Jocelyn liked the music but thought he came off as a jerk. I don't care. He writes a good song x40 or whatever number of songs he's written and recorded.

I like it, his music writing has evolved during the post-teen years and I patiently await the new album coming out this month.

I ran into a lil roadblock. I didn't know what else I wanted to download.

Max, it's ok if you're a jerk, I still <3 Say Anything ->

Luckily Ellie asked me a question, "who is this 20 yr old hockey kid who's been playing for 3 years"

pffh. who is this kid? i soon answered the question and had concocted a plan on acquiring a pet penguin.

Sidney Crosby began playing hockey on his own in his basement at two years old, and learned to skate at three. At the age of seven, he gave his first newspaper interview, during which, he commented about hard work and success, "They say you have to do your best and work hard and things will happen. You can make it if you try."

Personally I'm just amazed that as a seven-year-old Canadian, he was able to say that. I love hockey and all, but those Canadians that make it to the NHL kinda spend their whole life either farming or playing hockey. That and taking blows to the head for 20 years takes its toll. Yeah, not the sharpest tools in the shed.

But yeah, Sidney has 220 points in 160 NHL games. Um thats pretty much just wild for anyone, much less a twenty-year-old.

Sure he isn't as flashy as Alexander Ovechkin (198 points in 163 NHL games). But Sidney's pretty much the most amazing scoring threat to hit the NHL.

The new NHL is pretty wild. It's like the NBA if it was on ice... and basketballs flew around at 100 mph and they could hit and could find players that could stay out of jail for firing a firearm in a public place. I love me some hockey. :-) link provided by Jordan.

Hmmm

Woman Sues Apple Over iPhone Price Cuts
Dongmei Li of Queens, N.Y., claimed the company violated price discrimination laws when it slashed the price of the 8-gigabyte iPhone by a third, from $599 to $399, within two months of the gadget's June debut.

(This is in a box quote...but I guess the pic screws that up)

So um...yeah.

Sometimes when you're an early adaptor. You get screwed. Like jumping on the bandwagon for Laserdisc, whatever format loses the DVDHD- blueray (chances are it will be blueray) battle, buying New York Mets playoff tickets.

Sorry lady you can take your $100 Apple GC and change that Apple was willing to give you and buy a new Ipod nano.

injured early purchasers like herself because they cannot resell the product for the same profit as those who bought the cell phone following the price cut.

Maybe she probably has a closet shelf full of I-phones that she was going to hock on ebay. Kinda hard to make a quick buck flipping Iphones if the price just dropped $200.

So lets say this person spent two-days waiting in line. Lets say she has a fairly important job and makes $100/hr. 100x48= 4800.

Lets say she has like 50 iphones. Maybe b/c of fancy graphics on her ebay pages, she could make 100 bucks a phone on ebay. Since everyone wants the coolest ipod ever and didn't want to spend a night outside a Apple store. No big deal. $100 more. 100x50= 5,000 profit.

So in this completely fictional sob story. She's lost out on $9800. Not including the fees ebay or any other auction site might charge.

Those jerks at Apple, they screwed her out of $9800. And they'd probably send a check. So for the added pain in the neck of standing in line to deposit it. She should sue for $10,000.

she's filed a lawsuit seeking $1 million in damages.

WHAT WHATWHA WHA?!?!?!

I'm sure she diagrammed everything out, went to a lawyer and was like. I'm going to sue Apple for $10,000. The lawyer was like, I have a better idea, Apple has lots of money, lets get them for a million.

Lawyers... pffh.
Q: What do you call 5000 dead lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?
A: A good start!
(1st lawyer joke on the 1st lawyer joke page that google gave me)

Oct Goals

Start running.

That's it.

So Seth blogged about this website a while back. Now I'm going to try and implement it into my routine.

mapmyrun.com

So I sketched out a little 2.37 mile square around my home. I'm going to give it a spin. It has a little calendar on it too, so you can document your suckiness.

The unofficial goal is to be at 3.5 miles by Oct 20. The unofficial goal pushed back-to-date is Nov 1. Really adding 1.13 miles to a jog over a month time shouldn't be that hard right?

My lil square in Orange County.

The running kick kicks in about once a year. It lasts for a month. If I'm running in late Nov. golf clap for me, pretty please.

Really un-official goal: I think I'm going to have the blog focused a little bit more (for the 2342x time). The thing is, my bloggin buddies all have a different style. So I'm tossed to and fro.

David, Eddie (to a point), Jason, Jess, Jordan (as of late) and Matt (especially) have "a less is more" style. Yeah. 1 post a month doesn't constitute very interesting reads on the RSS reader.

Ellie, Jessica, LeeElle, Seth and Sierra have a "this is what I'm doing" style of blogging. That's a lot of E's, I's and L's in those names.

Larrie, Rebecca and Reagan have a "this is what I'm thinking about" style. It leads to an interesting (and occasionally disturbing) read.

I kinda take all those styles, puree it in a blender and pour out the dribble.

I'll be more foucused one day... I'll probably be pushing up daisies then... so don't hold your breathe.

The Oct semi-annual KL vacation is going to Disneyland. 10/20. The ILK tour of Vegas in March was rad so we're giving it another go.

Larrie said something along the lines of, "if someone would have told me five years ago I'd be flying somewhere to vacationing with you, I'd have laughed..." thanks Larrie... Then we talked about how we were going to make a time machine and... It works out pretty well because they're going to start making Delorians again.

James Espey, VP of DeLorean Motor Company: "Job one will begin the third quarter of this year, with delivery by Q1 of 2008. We're aiming for $57,500 as the sale price."

That with our greeting card business, we're going to be such great entrepreneurs. Don't you readers go getting any ideas now, everything has been trademarked, copyrighted, patents pending, etc.

Indians over Yankees in five games.

Arizona over Rockies in seven
Indians over Red Sox in six games.

Indians over Arizona in five games.

Watch it be the Cubs over the Angels in six... sad.

Heroes is so-so, How I Met Your Mother is good not quite great. The Big Bang Theory is hilarious.
